Rare & Powerful Qigong Tui Na Techniques for TCM Practitioners

Sponsored by Frank and Elaine Hediger

and the Institut für Chinesische Medizin

Basel, Switzerland, August 20 & 21, 2011

Tui Na, translated as Push Pull, is a vital component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is described as a manipulation therapy and is often used in conjunction with acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, herbalism and qigong.

When Tui Na is practiced as it was taught in ancient China, it is a profound healing method; when both external (manipulation of the muscles and joints of the body) and internal (intention and energy) are in play simultaneously, the practitioner's skill increases dramatically and the patients achieve higher levels of healing.

This workshop will teach Qigong Tui Na methods from old and new traditions:

  • Old: Yin Style Bagua Qi Cultivation and Development Methods and Hand Techniques (also known as needleless medicine)
  • New: Medical Qigong: Qi Cultivation and Development Techniques.

Donald Rubbo, a master of the rare, powerful, energetic method of Tui Na, will present methods and techniques to:

  • Cultivate your qi
  • Heighten your sensitivity
  • Deepen your intuition
  • Expand your heart-center
  • Develop the listening abilities of your entire body

Primordial Qigong Workshop

Sponsored by Dr. Liliana Constantinescu

and the International Center for Holistic Medicine SRL

Bucharest, Romania August 13 & 14, 2011

Primordial Qigong is one of the oldest forms of qigong; the mythical Taoist sage Zhang Sanfeng, said to be the father of Tai Chi Chuan, is credited with creating Wu Ji Gung (Primordial Qigong.) Master Zhu Hui, the lineage holder of Primordial Qigong, taught this system to Donald Rubbo.

Primordial Qigong, also known as WuJi Qigong, Enlightenment Qigong and Tai Chi Enlightenment, can be viewed as a three dimensional physical mandala, encompassing all of the primary aspects of Taoist philosophy:

  • The concepts of yin/yang
  • The trinity (heaven, earth and man)
  • Five Element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
  • The I Ching
  • The Bagua
  • The mystical aspects of numbers.

In its simplicity, Primordial Qigong covers the full range of Taoist theory and philosophy. One begins the form with emptiness, and from that emptiness is born yin and yang, and then from the two comes all things. Practicing this form brings harmony to Heaven, Earth and Humanity as you are moving through all of the directions of the Ba Gua, balancing the elements, and reversing the seasons. The practitioner returns back to the beginning, returning to a primordial state of being. You will experience a mystical rebirth, a perpetual renewing and continuation of the cycle of life.

Anyone can practice this profound, timeless system, it's easy to learn and daily practice can take about 8 to 12 minutes. For advanced practitioners, we recommend one hour a day of practice.
