About Us - Teacher Training Program
The Rubbo Art of Energy Teacher Training, sponsored by PDP II Research Foundation, is an intensive, comprehensive three-year program in the
martial arts (Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Chuan, Shao Lin Chuan, Hsing Yi, Bagua, I Chuan) and the ancient Chinese healing systems of Qigong.
The program is designed for students who are self-motivated and interested in achieving a high degree of mastery through personal practice.
Periodic private instruction with Donald Rubbo is mandatory, and he closely supervises the students' progress. With compassion, wisdom and
humor Donald and Cheryl Lynne Rubbo serve as mentors and coaches to the extraordinary individuals who qualify for this rigorous training.
To help bring peace, health and harmony to our community, and to the world, PDP II programs are built upon a foundation of integrity, compassion and loving kindness, through the principles of generosity, morality, patience, diligence, concentration and wisdom.
Candidates are carefully selected for this program, and a movement and/or healing arts background is a pre-requisite for consideration. The screening process includes an evaluation of applicants for the following qualities: A compassionate spirit; the ability to work well with seniors and those with life-altering illnesses and a desire to help in the healing processes of members of our community. Rubbo Art of Energy graduate teachers serve the community by teaching in PDP II's free health programs.
