Donald and Cheryl Lynne Rubbo are leading experts in mind-body medicine.  

 

They have written two books, Extraordinary Breath, Making the Power of Deep Breathing Work for You (Xlibris, 2008), and Primordial Qigong, a digital eBook, and have been featured in The Empty Vessel, A Journal of Contemporary Taoism.  

 

The Rubbos teach worldwide, and have presented transformative workshops and seminars, in the Bay Area at the Commonwealth Club, Marin General Hospital and San Francisco Veteran’s Administration Hospital, and internationally, at Centro d’Ompio in Italy, in Basel and St. Gallen, Switzerland and in Bucharest, Romania.

 

Their work focuses on transformational learning, by getting beyond gaining factual knowledge alone to instead become changed by what one learns in some meaningful way - questioning assumptions, beliefs and values, and considering multiple points of view.

 

Through their health-education nonprofit, the Paul D. Pickens II Research Foundation, the Rubbos taught free wellness and meditation classes, and sponsored community health events.  

 

For his work in uplifting humanity, Donald Rubbo has received a letter of recognition from President George W. Bush and a Volvo-for-Life Award. In 2005, the Rubbos were featured on New Morning TV, a Hallmark Channel Faith & Values series about ordinary men and women who are doing extraordinary things.

 

Recently, the Rubbos created a free digital eBook, a short version of The Extraordinary Breath, available in many languages on www.ExtraordinaryBreath.com, and launched a ‘100 Million Downloads Campaign,’ in preparation for The World Takes a Breath Day, scheduled for October 10, 2010. 

 

Donald Rubbo maintains a private practice in San Rafael, California.

 

The Rubbos have spent over 35 years of their lives immersed in the martial, internal and healing arts, including Karate, Traditional Shao Lin Kung Fu, Nei Gung, Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Chuan, I Chuan, Hsing Yi, Bagua, many systems of Qigong and profound meditative methods. Donald has also studied Energy Bodywork, Needleless Medicine, Herbs, Eastern and Western Astrology and Geomancy (Feng Shui). The Rubbos honor their many teachers and the blessings of the traditional teachings.

Certified Rubbo Art of Energy Teachers

Rubbo Art of Energy Certified Teachers have completed a rigorous, intensive and comprehensive three year training program with Sifu Rubbo.

Teacher Training

There are many students in Rubbo Art of Energy Teacher Training Program. Each applicant is carefully screened prior to acceptance. The program offers an intensive three year training program in all aspects of the martial and healing arts, as well as certifications in specific areas.

PDP II Research Foundation

Paul D. Pickens II Research Foundation, a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit health education organization, was founded in 1997 by Donald and Cheryl Lynne Rubbo. PDP II Research Foundation is a cutting-edge leader in transformative health practices, and with the support of our donors and benefactors the Foundation is making a positive difference in the health of communities throughout the world.

Our purpose is to raise awareness about the profound health benefits of ancient healing systems, and to foster the growth of connected communities working together for peace and encouraging the integration of wisdom, compassion, spirituality and right view into daily living.
